Chris Dove - 200 not out!!!
A special day for Devon Seniors scorer Chris Dove today (12 July 2026) who was celebrating his 200th game for the Seniors at the 50s league match against the Channel Islands.
Chairman Neil Matthews seen here presenting an engraved tankard to “Dovey” to mark the occasion together with the 50s 1st team before the match.
Dovey’s career spans back 24 years to his first game in May 2002 for the Seniors against Hampshire at Sandford CC, a year when we went through the season undefeated.
Great achievement Chris and many thanks from everyone in the Seniors set up, may there be many more matches to come in the future.

Seniors v Australian Seniors

Devon Seniors 50s took on an Australian touring side yesterday managed by legendary Aussie fast bowler Merv Hughes (also acting as fines master!!) at Teignmouth & Shaldon CC on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon.
Devon fielded first restricting the Aussies to 204 with bowling contributions all round. In reply Devon got home by 4 wickets remaining with Marcus West scoring 88* and winning the coveted Man of the Match award. All players from both sides enjoyed a competitive game played in a great spirit, photos show both teams together at the end of the game and Karl Blackburn who acted as Devon captain with Merv Hughes. |

DeFib and CPR Training for the Seniors!

Prior to their match against Cornwall at Chudleigh CC, the Over 50s had some valuable DeFib and CPR training from Immy, from the charity Jay's Aim. Jay’s Aim was established with the target of reducing the rate of sudden cardiac death among young people here in South-West England. But the free training they offer is open to all, and very well received from our members. Many thanks to Immy and all at Jay's Aim. Further information can be found on their website

Save the date October 10th at the Exeter Court Hotel for our NEW and IMPROVED Gala Dinner & Awards night, with Entertainment provided!!! This is purely a social night (separate from the AGM!!!) for all Seniors and their better halves.
Early bird ticket prices are £45pp (available until July 31st) and £50pp thereafter.
