A Proud Devonian, Roger was born in Exmouth and was introduced to cricket from an early age by his father Cecil, who was Captain at Exmouth Cricket Club. Starting with Exmouth Colts and working his way up the ranks, Roger was part of the Exmouth side that won the premier league in 1998. He has played in numerous Devon league games for the club and is a former secretary and coach of the club.
Roger is currently the Finance Director for Devon County Cricket Club and is keen for the county to flourish on and off the field. This is Roger’s second spell in charge of a Seniors side having previously captained the over 50's 1st XI for two seasons. As we approach the season ahead Roger will be looking to work closely with Neil Matthews, captain of the 60’s 2nd X1, to try to continue to develop what is already a thriving seniors section. The objective will be to create an environment where like- minded individuals can really enjoy their cricket, express their talent and perform.
